Whether I'm painting or composing music, I'm drawn to the same question: How can we make the invisible felt?

Painting, for me, is a conversation rather than a predetermined image. I begin with a simple form, often a horse or a figure, and allow each brushstroke to respond to the one before it. Through intuition, observation, and trust, each painting gradually reveals something that couldn't have been planned from the start.
